The Wright Brothers made history at this very spot in 1903 when they piloted the world's first airplane using the steady winds and flat land of the Outer Banks. See a full scale replica plane, learn about the Wright Brothers and their journey from bicycle builders in Ohio to flight pioneers in Kitty Hawk. Don't forget to climb the hill to the see the monument built to these men and their acheivement.
