I am truly blessed to be an Outer Banker; like many, I relocated to this piece of paradise. Originally an elementary school teacher with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University, upon relocating to the Outer Banks I took a leave of absence from teaching to help my husband build a business in real estate. The teacher became a student, taking courses in real estate, obtaining my license in 1981, and I never returned to the classroom: I had found another passion and was committed to a new course, a new choice!
Having served on many boards, committees and organizations, currently I Chair the Dare County Tourist Bureau, serve on the Outer Banks Hospital Development Council and the TowneBank Board, as well as the Board of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce.
I cannot think of any client or fellow business person that has not become a friend. My priority as your agent is assisting you in making the right decision at the right price. Selling or purchasing a home is a continuous series of decisions and I will assist you in making the right choice by providing information, advice, and instruction every step of the way.

Client Testimonial: "Myra, Thank you for doing such a nice job for us and working with us to find new owners for our condo. I know that they will enjoy it as much as we have through the years.
Your fabulous company and top-notch staff are certainly a reflection of the wonderful person that you are, Myra. We thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone in the rental and maintenance departments and always felt assured that they took care of things for us. That means a great deal to owners, especially ones (like us) who couldn't be there very often. We only wish that we had switched rental companies a lot sooner than we did. Oh well, better late than never!!
Please know that we will miss you and that we thoroughly appreciate all the super people who make Atlantic Realty the very best on the beach!"

The Outer Banks is my home – let me help make it yours too! Upon graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 1966, I secured a teaching position at Manteo High School where I taught for over 16 years. From that point forward, I was President and CEO of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce until retiring from that career in June of 2012.
Having held the presidency of the Chambers of Northeast North Carolina, the North Carolina Association of Chamber Executives, the North Banks Rotary Club, and serving as a elected Dare County Commissioner and Board Chairman, I am very familiar with the Outer Banks real estate market and know my neighbors well…where we all work and live in this great vacation resort area. Additionally, I have served as Board of Director of the Outer Banks YMCA, the Roanoke Island Historical Association (Lost Colony) Board of Directors and currently serve as an Advisory Board Member of the Salvation Army…you may have seen me as a ‘bell-ringer’ outside a local establishment during the holiday season!
I believe that my organizational skills, community contacts and widespread knowledge of this area are very beneficial to you as you search for a real estate professional with whom to work. My commitment to my clients, colleagues, neighbors and friends is second to none…I stand ready to assist you with your real estate sale or purchase.

Living on the Outer Banks since 1968, I have had my real estate broker’s license since 1984 when I specialized in properties on the northern Outer Banks. I have seen the area evolve to the premier vacation destination it is today. I count among my clients many of the first investors to see the potential of Corolla when it was little more than gorgeous windswept dunes and wide beaches.
I bring more than a vast knowledge of Outer Banks real estate to my clients, as I love the OBX and have worked tirelessly for its betterment. A past Dare County Commissioner, I served three consecutive 4-year terms as Nags Head Commissioner as well. I also served 8 years on the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, the last serving as Chair. Serving on many boards throughout the county has helped to educate me as to the fine offerings this area brings to its property owners.
I look forward to providing you with information and assisting you with a purchase or the sale of your home in the near future. Let my time on the Outer Banks and my real estate experience work for you.

As a child, I spent many memorable summers here on the Outer Banks. In 2002, my family and I relocated from Williamsburg, VA to this beautiful island that I am now blessed to call home. Along with holding a North Carolina Real Estate License, I have been a Professional Banker for over 30 years and know how to deliver exceptional customer service to all of my clients. I have the market knowledge and ability to help my clients make the right decision when it comes to buying or selling their Outer Banks home.
Along with my competitive spirit in the local real estate market, I truly believe in supporting the community. I am an active Outer Banks Hotline Board member and a member of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors. I am always looking for opportunities to help others. The world belongs to the enthusiastic and I am here to help you every step of the way!

As a native of Elizabeth City, our family vacationed here for a week every summer and while in college at East Carolina University, I spent several summers waitressing on the Outer Banks. With that sand between my toes, upon graduating with a BSBA degree, with a Concentration in Marketing, I returned to make the OBX my permanent home! Six years later, while working in construction and property management, I procured my NCRE Broker license. For the next two decades-plus, my career path took a turn into co-owning and operating a furniture and interior design business. I LOVE anything and everything about HOMES…building, renting, owning, furnishing and decorating them! Now I enjoy assisting folks like you with buying and selling real estate, to make your dream of OBX property-ownership come true!
