Over 60 years experience in Outer Banks real estate assuring confidence through step by step professionalism from the property search to closing.
Choices, Choices, Choices
When it comes to real estate, most are familiar with “Location, Location, Location”. The real estate profession has successfully marketed this concept. But Location is not the first or most important decision in the purchase or sale of property. The first and most important decision in real estate is your Choice of your Realtor.
Myra Ladd-Bone | Owner/President
Upon entering the profession a realtor’s first choice is his/her approach and motivation. Regrettably, for many it is about the commission or a record of sales figures. For me, it is helping people make the right choice for them. And my initial return is that of a new friend.
I enjoy being a small business owner on the Outer Banks. The responsibilities are many; the rewards, greater. I cannot think of any client or fellow businessperson that has not become a friend.
I am truly blessed to be an Outer Banker. Like many, I relocated to this piece of paradise. Real estate was not my aspiration. My career was my passion, teaching.
GO Big Blue! I am a proud alumnus of Old Dominion University holding a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. With just a short drive north, I still enjoy the resources of my alma mater.
I loved every day in the classroom as an elementary teacher for the first, second, and third grades in Suffolk, VA, and the Outer Banks. Teaching was all I have ever wanted to do. I still have my very first chalk board that my father made for Christmas when I was six.
Upon relocating to the Outer Banks, I took a year’s leave of absence from teaching to help my husband build a business in real estate. The teacher became a student-taking courses in real estate, taking exams, and earning the license (1981). My initial plan was to return to teaching but once the letter of resignation was mailed, I was committed to a new course, a new choice.
Like most significant life choices, it was difficult giving up my passion of teaching. But passion is not limited to one thing. True passion is the commitment to doing something meaningful to yourself and others. What could be more meaningful than helping someone find a home for their family?
Selling or buying a home is a continuous series of decisions made on a vast array of choices presented. As your realtor, I cannot decide upon your choices. I will help you make the right choice by providing information from researching homes, financing resources, market conditions and issues.
Providing information, advice, and instruction for informed decisions. Perhaps, I am still pursuing my first passion while also being a friend.
Client Testimonial: "Myra, Thank you for doing such a nice job for us and working with us to find new owners for our condo. I know that they will enjoy it as much as we have through the years.
Your fabulous company and top-notch staff are certainly a reflection of the wonderful person that you are, Myra. We thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone in the rental and maintenance departments and always felt assured that they took care of things for us. That means a great deal to owners, especially ones (like us) who couldn't be there very often. We only wish that we had switched rental companies a lot sooner than we did. Oh well, better late than never!!
Please know that we will miss you and that we thoroughly appreciate all the super people who make Atlantic Realty the very best on the beach!"

The Outer Bank is my home – let me help you make it yours too!
I’ve lived and worked on the Outer Banks for almost 50 years. During that time, I’ve seen this community grow and change
significantly. Upon graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 1966, I secured a teaching position at Manteo High School where I taught for over 16 years. From that point forward, I was President and CEO of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce until retiring from that career in June of 2012.
As President of the Chambers of Northeast NC (2004 – 2008), two terms as President of the North Banks Rotary Club (1985 – 1986 and 2010 – 2011) and an elected Dare County Commissioner (1978 – 1982) where I served as Board Chairman from 1980 – 1982, I am very familiar with the economics of this area and the distinct role vacation rentals, second homes, and primary residences play on the Outer Banks. I presently serve as Board of Directors of the Outer Banks YMCA, a position that I have held for a decade. Additionally, I currently serve as an Advisory Board Member to the Salvation Army Elizabeth City area (since 2001).
I believe that my experience in the community gives me a distinct advantage in understanding the real estate market in this unique resort area. My organizational skills, community contacts, and widespread knowledge of the Outer Banks make me a perfect candid
ate to assist you with all of your real estate needs. I’m proud to say that my first residential home listing went under contract in less than 30 days! I work full-time as a Realtor here at Atlantic Realty which means that I am dedicated and focused on making your dream of owning a home on the OBX a reality!

Anna Sadler | Nags Head Office
Hi there! Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Anna Sadler, new to Atlantic Realty but certainly no newcomer to real estate on the Outer Banks. Living on the Outer Banks since 1968, I have had my real estate broker’s license since 1984 when I specialized in properties on the northern Outer Banks, in the areas of Duck and Corolla. Working with the developer of Ocean Sands in those early days, I have seen the area evolve to the premier vacation destination it is today. I count among my clients many of the first investors to see the potential of Corolla when it was little more than gorgeous windswept dunes and wide beaches.
A top producer in my career, I bring more than a vast knowledge of Outer Banks real estate to my clients. I love the Outer Banks and have worked tirelessly for its betterment. A past Dare County Commissioner, I served three consecutive 4-year terms as Nags Head Commissioner. I also served 8 years (non-consecutive) on the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, the last year serving as Chairman. I have served on many boards throughout the county which has helped to educate me as to the fine offerings this area brings to its property owners. With 34 years of real estate experience I can give you the answers to all your real estate needs or know where to find those answers!
My message to my past and future clients is simple: "I look forward to providing you with information and assisting you with a purchase or the sale of your home in the near future. Let my time on the Outer Banks and my real estate experience work for you!"
My husband and I are avid fishermen and are always happiest on the water. We live in Nags Head where we have resided for 48 years. I am working out of the Nags Head office; please contact me on my cell: 252-202-5264, toll free: 855-588-0720 or via email: Anna@sunandsea.com. I look forward to working with you!
