Description Description
Emerald Duck is a waterfront duplex offering guests the little coastal home they've always desired, featuring spectacular sunset views over the Currituck Sound. This home is a water enthusiast's dream, providing a private dock and sound front gazebo (shared with duplex #130 Keepers Loft) that allows for launching kayaks or paddleboards, swimming, and excellent crabbing or fishing. Guests can wake up to watch marsh birds and drift off to sleep after enjoying the daily sunset right from the backyard. Step inside to discover a seamless mix of rustic appeal and modern comfort, highlighted by polished flooring, handcrafted cabinetry, and refined accents and stainless-steel kitchen appliances. A serene balcony, accessible through large glass doors, invites guests to relax with a morning coffee or evening drink. Furthermore, Emerald Duck is conveniently located only a few miles from the Village of Duck, making it an easy bike ride or short drive to enjoy boutique shops, restaurants, and the famous Duck Boardwalk.

We love staying here!
This was our fourth visit, and we’ll definitely be back. It’s a great place if you enjoy fishing, crabbing, kayaking, or biking. We caught fresh fish and crabs every day, and the backyard is perfect for relaxing—we even set up our hammocks and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets.The house is clean, affordable, and has excellent access to the backwater. We also noticed they painted the interior white since our last stay, which makes the house feel much cleaner, brighter, and more inviting.A few things could make the stay even better: the kitchen could use better grilling tools, nicer coffee mugs and wine glasses, and an air fryer would be a great addition. The sofa bed definitely needs a more comfortable mattress, and having a few beach chairs available for guests would be a nice touch.Overall, this is a clean, comfortable home in a great location at a very reasonable price. We always enjoy our stay and highly recommend it!

We just got home from OBX and we LOVED this place. The dock was our favorite! The sunsets were so amazing. The house is great. My only complaint is no TVs in the bedrooms.

Answer:

Emerald Duck and Keeper's Loft are 2 halves of the same building -- a duplex.  Each unit is 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with separate entrances, driveways and decks.  They both share the soundfront pier and gazebo.
