Body:

The Outer Banks is very kid friendly!!  Although we are known for our natural sandy beaches and historic landmarks, the Outer Banks has many other areas and activities for kids of all ages to explore.  Here are some of our favorites:

Outer Banks Children's Museum --   Children can learn through play by exploring the different exhibits including a boat, lighthouse, submarine and wonder wall!!

Daredevils Baseball --  The Outer Banks Dare Devils is a local baseball team that has games almost nightly June - August.  These games are extremely kid friendly with mascots, games, food and more.  Home games take place beside First Flight Middle School in Kill Devil Hills.  Visit their website for full schedule.  Tickets may be purchased online or at the gate.

Jockey's Ridge State Park -- The East Coast's largest natural sand dune is the ideal spot for running, jumping, kite flying and climbing.  If that was not enough, the State Park also has some wonderful nature programs that teach children (and adults) about local wildlife and ecology.  Don't miss "Sunset on the Ridge" -- their most popular program -- and take in the gorgeous views and colors of a spectacular sunset.  This event takes place most nights on the top of the ridge just before dark.
