Art on the Outer Banks

The Outer Banks is a haven for local artists.  Artisans such as jewelers, painters, sculptors, potters, and weavers come to the area and use the sand and the sea for inspiration.  Many have small shops and their goods can be found for sale up and down the island.  One of the best places to find local artwork is along Gallery Row in Nags Head.  This 2 block radius features several art galleries and shops with one-of-a-kind items for sale.
