The Outer Banks prides itself on being a family beach, a family vacation haven.  We realize that there are times when adults desire “adult time” and “adult activities”.   Perhaps you want a little extra assistance caring for children during special events, i.e. wedding receptions.  Finding quality child care away from home, on vacation, presents challenges and creates anxiety.

Outer Banks Family YMCA

The Outer Banks Family YMCA is a state of the art fitness and recreational facility delivering health, fitness, and recreational programs for the entire family.  Childwatch is available up to two hours per day while you use the facilities or take a fitness class.  Additionally, child care is available one evening per week, 6:00-10:00 pm, Memorial Day to mid-August to members, and those purchasing the YMCA Weekly Pass.

Adult Care
For those taking family vacations or hosting reunions, preparation and consideration for the needs of multiple generations must be considered.  The more senior family members may need assistance with the unique beach environment or OBX vacation home or to continue extended care that they usually receive at home.
