Preparing for your Outer Banks Trip
Outer Banks weather is heavily determined by our proximity to the water and prevalent winds. Regardless of the time of year, including summer, when packing include short and long-sleeve shirts, a sweatshirt, jacket, and rain wear.
Remember...
Household Items: Bed and Bath Linens (if your vacation home does not provide linens - linens may be rented); kitchen cloths and towels; dish and laundry detergent; trash bags; and food storage materials (aluminum foil, plastic baggies, etc.); paper products; personal grooming items; hairdryers; medical and baby equipment. Several rental supply companies provide baby equipment items (cribs, strollers, and etc.) Contact medical supply vendors (a list is available on our web site) in advance to arrange for medical needs.
Medications: Medications, copy of prescriptions; physician and medical care providers information and contact information; glasses and contacts including extra pair and prescriptions.
Pet Needs: Medications and veterinarian name and contact information; your pet’s favorite toys; leash, collar with identification, and bedding. Beach Stuff: Sunglasses; croakies; beach towels or blankets; hat/visor; beach bag; cooler; books/games/puzzles; sun block; camera and or video camera.

Finances: Cash, travelers checks, credit and/or debit cards. Copy the front and back of all credit/debit cards and keep this information in a separate and safe location. Should your wallet or purse be lost or stolen, you will have the necessary information to contact your financial institutions.
