Outer Banks Area Information

Body:

Welcome to the Outer Banks!  From outdoor activities to natural beauty to family fun, our little piece of paradise has it all.  For thousands of years, this thin strip of sandy coastline has drawn explorers and adventurers to its shores.  In the beginning, it was the European colonists who sought out a new world.  Then, the Wright Brothers ventured here in search of a new means of transportation.  And now, the modern family comes to the Outer Banks in search of a little adventure . . . . . with a big dose of rest and relaxation thrown in.  Enjoy the thrill of exploring a new world.  Try your hand at surfing, kiteboarding, or even hang gliding.  Climb all 268 steps to the top of the Hatteras Lighthouse.  Challenge your kids to a game of miniature golf or a go-kart race.  See who can jump the biggest wave.  See who can find the prettiest shell or piece of sea glass on the miles and miles of beaches.  There is so much to do and see here on the Outer Banks, that there is truly something for everyone!
