Atlantic Realty strongly recommends Vacation Investment Insurance to protect you in situations for which you may not recover your vacation financial investment, such as family illness, injury, death and even mandatory hurricane evacuation.

The cost of this travel insurance is 6.5% of the total rental less the security deposit.

While travel insurance is optional, it is automatically added and due with your Advance Rent Payment. Meaning, you are automatically covered by travel insurance unless you do the following:

a) strike through the travel insurance amount on your vacation rental agreement AND
b) initial where appropriate on the agreement AND
c) deduct the travel insurance amount from your advance rental payment.

Please note that travel insurance cannot be deducted after the initial payment is made and is not available to those residing outside North America. Travel Insurance cannot be added once final payment is made. Insurance payments are made directly to the insurance company immediately after they are received by Atlantic Realty. Coverage starts the day Atlantic Realty recieves payment.

The insurance company does however honor a 10 day "review period" in which you are permitted to cancel your travel insurance coverage without penalty. This 10 day period begins the day Atlantic Realty receives your travel insurance payment.

A travel insurance brochure outlining benefits and limitations as well as important phone numbers is mailed along with your vacation rental agreement.
