Banks. A regional organization, the Outer Banks Chamber serves Dare County,
Currituck County and Ocracoke Island. There are currently over 1000 members.
Services of the chamber include member discount programs, business referrals,
networking events such as Business After Hours, Legislative representation,
economic and demographic data, and newsletters. The chamber alerts members of
opportunities to sponsor and support area events, fraud alerts, and key issues
through e-mail updates. Being part of the chamber of commerce means being active
in the Outer Banks community.
The Currituck Chamber of Commerce serves
as a source of information for businesses, newcomers and visitors. We answer a
variety of questions on a daily basis ranging from "How do I start a business in
Currituck County?" to "Where is the best place to see the wild horses?" The
Chamber provides information on community development, economic development,
tourism, and most importantly, our members. The Currituck Chamber promotes and
encourages local shopping and dining. We only refer Chamber members when
inquiries are made to our office. Belonging to the Currituck Chamber of Commerce
shows your support for the community and provides additional exposure for your
business. By working together with local government officials, business owners,
and community leaders, the Chamber's main goal is to "Build a Better Currituck
County!"

More than just an industry
support organization, the Outer Banks
Restaurant Association represents a diverse and
exceptionally talented community famous for culinary creativity and warm
southern hospitality. As an association, our goals are many but focus on
promoting the (formerly) best kept secret about The Outer Banks, our fantastic
dining options. Our beautiful strip of sand has always been a mecca for
beach-goers and nature enthusiasts, but our gifted chefs and inspired
entrepreneurs are showing our visitors - one plate at a time - that our culinary
creations are worth the trip on their own! Organizationally, the core of the
OBRA is made up of restaurant owners and managers, but the
strength of the association lies in its diversity of affiliates. Of course many
of our top suppliers are represented, as well as a solid sampling of our media
and advertising partners, but many do not realize that anyone can join.
You need only to be passionate about food! Some of our most devoted members
are just big fans of eating out on the Outer Banks!

runs the Annual Parade of Homes on the Outer Banks.
