  This is the first time I've rented a property. The rental staff were absolutely wonderful. There were a few things noticed before we came in and several workers came in and made the repairs. I was a little disappointed that we couldn't just walk across the road to the beach but we just loaded up cars and drove the short distance. We parked either in the beach access lot or just across the street and walked across. It was not a big deal. The pool was wonderful. We had two storms which didn't last long. As soon as it stopped the crew was in the pool. We felt like our every need was anticipated--the games, puzzles, tv's, kitchenware, etc. There were 18 of us and we were all very comfortable. The two dishwashers was a fantastic idea. The only thing I might add is an ice machine and an additional refrigerator. My only regret is that we couldn't stay 2 weeks. Thanks for everything.

  The house has everything you would expect for a new house in OBX. Beach access is best with hike a 1/4+ south. The beach at the access is very nice, but expect a rash from the walk back. The fridge is too small and downstairs is only a 1/4 fridge. The floors were very dirty and it is about time for new carpet. This house is pet friendly. The pool area is smaller than the picture, but the pool and hot tub are nice and well maintained. The double grills outside worked well, but like everything left outside at the beach have rust. The same house on the ocean would rent for twice as much. On sale, this was a reasonable rate. We will book earlier next year and look for closer beach access.

  This home is beautifully decorated and has plenty of space. We enjoyed our week in Nags Head however, we did experience some issues. Our main issue was the location i.e. beach access, or lack thereof. We could not go onto the beach across the street. You have to drive about a 1/4 mile down the road and get there early; there are only about 8-10 spaces. The home had some maintenance issues: no light bulbs in kitchen, no propane in grill, only one reg. size refigerator (for 20 people???), ice-maker not working, one of the dryers does not dry, pool gate issues, a/c on first floor not working, etc. These little things add up...

  There were 13 in our party and the bedroom/bathroom ratio is perfect. Lovely furnishings and a mostly well equipped kitchen. If you have coffee drinkers in your large party, take a real coffee maker...theirs stinks! This house and my family were the truly good parts of our vacation. This house costs $44/hour...keep that in mind while reading my review. DO NOT believe the beach access statement. One public beach access was one mile away and the other was 1/2 mile away with only 14 parking spots. You WILL have to drive to these accesses unless you are carrying nothing more than a towel and you don't have your 76 year old mother with you. This house is second row ($44/hour). You can see the ocean from the top floor. Across the street you will see people pouring in and out of a concrete driveway as they cross freely to a public beach. We attempted this only to be stopped and scolded by very unfriendly neighbors. Our attempt was to cross 100' of concrete to get to a public beach...give up...they won't let you do it. Apparently we weren't renting from the right company in order to have access. The lady who owns O'Bryant's Ocean Front Rooms will chase you off 'her beach' under threat of arrest. Once again...this is public beach. We watched her do it over and over. She IS the Nag's Head Nazi..."NO BEACH FOR YOU!!!" The 2nd floor entrance has a lock on it like I've never seen. We tho't it was broken and so left it unlocked the first night. The second morning I called AR to request it be fixed. Nothing. In the afternoon the neighbor kids came thru' THAT door and clear upstairs into our living area. I called again. AR sent a locksmith to the house who told us we were gonna feel "real stupid" and then showed us how the door locks...it involves pulling the handle UP and then turning the lock. Atlantic Realty might make 'true' statements but they are far from truthful and certainly do not give full disclosure.($44/hour) We'll never stay north again.

  WE loved the house. The pool was great and bedding was good. For a house of this size -- there should be 2 regular refrigerators - not a small bar size ref. The cleaning crew before us did not do a good job. I left word with Atlantic that the home owner was getting ripped off by their property not being taken care of. Air filters need changing. WE had to have someone to work on dryer vents 2 days. It should not take 3 hours to dry a load of towels. They finally found a bird's nest in the outside vent. Poor Beech access.

  The house is beautiful and I have no complaints regarding that. Atlantic was deceitful in advertising the beach access, it is actually about 1/2 mile down the road making it very inconvenient and not what we expected or were led to believe at all. Otherwise the house is in a great location and has a spectacular floor plan. We were treated poorly by Atlantic this visit which is a real shame as it was our third time renting from them and based on this experience will definitely be the last.

  This was a fantastic house. We had 19 people staying in one place so the concern was that without the perfect house we would all go crazy. Three levels with the beach right across the street. Hot tub, medium sized pool, and a pretty incredible volleyball court. Only house the had one. Do ask the property manager to rake the court before you arrive as there's large rocks and glass. Everything worked very well except the refrigerator was giving us some issue as it wouldn't close all the way unless you slammed it shut. That said, I really couldn't have asked for a better location or a house. Also, this is one of the few places that does partial rentals which was huge for us.

  We stayed at this beautiful home for my sister's wedding. The bride's family traveled from all over the country to stay here. When we got here (3 days after the first day of rental) the house still hadn't been cleaned. We paid for the pool to be heated and it was not. It finally was heated by Thursday. The owner changed the number of beds, but didn't update the site, so we had people who traveled 8 hours to come and find out they had no bed. The rental company told me I could rent a bed from them, and I had to drive all the way back up to the office in Kitty Hawk in order to show them the rental agreement to convince them they were wrong and owed us a bed. I missed the bridal party brunch because of this. They charged us twice to heat the pool that wasn't heated, and I also had to convince them they were wrong. In their defense, they were changing computer programs. But instead of listening to what I was telling them and providing good customer service, they blamed first, saying I did not read my contract instead of looking at the contract for the evidence themselves! Listen to your customers, read your paperwork, and don't jump to conclusions! That being said,once the house was clean, everyone had a bed,and the pool was heated, we had a fabulous time. We have stayed in beach houses where you could hear every noise,the pool table below, people walking on the floor above, but this house was built great. We had two babies sleep fine while adults celebrated late. The decor was beachy and bright, but not too over-the-top. We enjoyed our stay, and had the rental company manager been more considerate from the start and fixed the problems without complaint, (So I could enjoy my sister's wedding and all the activities around it!) we would have given the home five stars.
