The Songbird was a great place to stay. My family was very comfortable there and the location and view where excellent.

We were a family of 5,and we had an enjoyable week at the song bird. My daughters throughly enjoyed the video collection. It was so convienant being able to walk across the street to the beach when ever we wanted. This is also very close to any shopping or sites you may want to see. I plan on visiting the songbird again. The only thing that was disappointing was that the third bedroom does not have a tv, and a pool would have been nice but when your that close to the ocean it wasnt a big deal.

It has been a long time since I stayed at a cottage at the beach. This is the first time to OBX. The location was exactly what I wanted and as described across the road from the beach with an unobstructed view of the dunes and ocean. The cottage was perfect for me and my daughter (22). I was pleasantly surprised with its cleanliness and that it was well stocked. Kitty Hawk turned out to be a good choice. It was quiet and less commercial with a market and a very good restaurant within walking distance. There was nothing lacking. The location, cottage, and beach were met all my expectations and more. I will rent the "Songbird" again next year and would recommend it to others.

This was our 2nd year at Songbird and we really enjoyed it. The only negatives are the size of the cottage (small for our family of 5/no closets) and the brightness in the overhead windows. But the cottage itself if so clean, well-kept and cozy. We plan to return.

Once again we truly relaxed and enjoyed our trip to Kitty Hawk and Songbird. We have come here for the last 6 years and will be back again in 2010. Location next to the Ocean, Winks, and Ocean Boulevard Restaurant are all pluses. The house is like home to us. See you next year.
