great house, great time beside having to evacuate!! Thanks alot Earl!! we did not have a problem sharing the path to the beach with the neighbors, its actually eco-friendly that way!! we need the dunes on the beach!!

We rented the house for 2 weeks in august. The house is real nice and very cozy. We enjoyed the views, the hottub, and the friendly atmosphere on the beach. The weather was nice, the fishing good, and the local restaurants were enjoyable. We were a little disappointed that the cable tv didn't work for 2 weeks even though we made repeated calls to atlantic Realty. The house wasn't cleaned very well when we arrived, we found beer bottles behind the toilet and the bathtubs were filthy so we spent the first few hours cleaning up the place. Access to the beach is another area that needs improvement as you have to walk thru the neighbors back yard to reach the beach, it is a little awkward returning back to the house and staring into the neighbors back window. Overall I would say the vacation was a success but it could have been better so I wouldn't classify it as great, we'll call it good.

Enjoyed the home...plenty of space with beautiful ocean views. The improvements they made to the home (sun-room) really helped out. The only thing I wish they would do is to make the driveway wider...always moving cars so one can get out. This was our 5th time in Lovelady and we have already reserved a week of July 16 for 2011. Love the house !!!

2010 was our first stay at Lovelady. We were pleasantly surprised to find the facilities lived up to or exceeded the on-line description and photos. The unit was very clean, plenty of room and equiped with all of the conveniences of home. Unit was aparrently recently remodeled and everything had a fresh look and smell to it. Having a doublewide drive or just a second parking spot near the street would be more convenient than shuffling two cars around. The covered deck provided a shaded escape from the scortching sun in the afternoons and the hot tub a quiet place to relax at night. Looking forward to going back!

We have been staying at this property for many years. The location is excellent and recent upgrades are great! The property is well kept. The biggest issue is that over the years the beach access from the property has diminished and shifted greatly to the property next door. It would be great to gain that back by building a dune walkway/steps from the new deck, or creating a better access path from the property to the present path. The kitchen could use of few new larger pots and cookie sheets for those of us that cook while vacationing.

We've rented from atlantic Realty almost yearly for the past 10 years. Great service with reservations and check-in/out. This home was comfortable with great views. Would love to stay again. Only improvements I would suggest at this point would be to throw away several pots/pans and restock with new. Some are not fit to cook with. Would be an inexpensive improvement in the kitchen. Cut back the path to the beach.

This was our first visit to the OBX. We knew that the weather this time of year was "iffy", but took a shot. We happened to hit the week of above average temps and lucked out with 6 days around 80 degrees and full sun! Our house was absolutely beautiful! Everything we needed was there. The internet service was down for half the week, but sounds like a common issue for the area. It was great to be close to the fishing pier. We spent some time on Roanoke Island, at the Wright Bros Memorial and Jockey Ridge State Park. We highly recommend eating at Barefoot Bernie's in Kitty Hawk. Great food and very reasonable prices. With four kids between the ages of 11 and 16, there was always something to do (or do nothing at all!). Nearly all our correspndence with Atlantic Realty was done on-line. We had no problems at all. They honored our discount card even though we didn't receive it until a few days after making our reservation. Would love to return to the area and would definitely do business with them again. We attended Easter mass at Holy Redeemer by the Sea. A very beautiful and welcoming parish. Had plenty of options for souvenirs shops, restaurants and activities.

We enjoyed our stay at the house, it was really nice. The only problem we had was trouble connecting to the internet, the signal was really low most times. Also, we were picking up low signals from neighbors which made it difficult at first to figure out which network belonged to the house. Really nice home, would stay there again.

This was a great location - near the pier, central to everything. The cottage was very nice, with a beachy feel. It was pretty well equipped and had a great, brand new hot tub. The layout was good; however, the two beach front rooms share a bath and the two street side rooms share a bath, which makes it harder for two families to share the house equally. But the absolute best thing about the house was the view. Everywhere you look, there are amazing ocean/beach views!! We would definitely choose to rent this cottage again! Thanks!!

This is a beautiful home, with a fantastic view of the ocean. The upstairs living room/dining room/kitchen combination is wonderful, with windows all around for another great view of the ocean. The hot tub is great. The amenities were very good also. The only downside is everything down in the carport area...the home was recently rehabbed and there were contractor nails all over the driveway. The old hot tub was filled with water and it appeared a group of mosquitos had made the tub their home. Also, there are broken chairs, umbrellas, etc. in the laundry room which really should have been thrown out, as they were no longer useful to anyone. This part of the property made the house look trashy. Also, I would suggest widening the driveway for renters who have more than one car - you can't drive around each other, which makes it a hassle if you want to leave. However, I still think this is a fantastic vacation house which would be made even better if the car port/laundry room areas were cleaned up. I think that Atlantic Realty is the best vacation realty companies in the Outer Banks and I will always rent through them!!

I would recommend this property. I have three 10 year olds and between the ocean, the hot tub and the big screen TV they always found something to do. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the remodeled house. Everything was done nicely. The location was close enough to do things, but yet far enough from the hotels so there wasn't a lot of traffic on the beach. The property is also within walking distance from a fishing pier. You are two houses from the public access so there is a life guard chair/stand one house over. All in all we had a great week and would love to have spent more than one week at the beach!

We have been renting this home for many years. Our experience since Atlantic Realty has taken over has been fantastic. Any issue (we were the first family to rent after the renovations) that has come up has been taken care of ASAP. The new remodel configuration took us a few days to get used to, but the improvements were outstanding. It is great to now have a covered portion of the deck to sit out and enjoy a rainy day. The only thing lacking is a dune top deck/walkway to the beach. The natural growth of the dunes has limited the pathway to the beach as the years have gone by. This home's location and amenities make us come back year after year.

The service with Atlantic Realty was remarkable. They were the nicest realty company that I have ever rented from in the 10 years my family and I have been going to the OBX.Everyone was so friendly and professional.We had a problem with a door and they sent someone right away to fix it. The service was exceptional. Keep up the good work. You guys are AWESOME!! The home was beyond what we expected. The description said remodeled and when we arrived everyone was in awe! The house was beautiful,absolutely gorgeous! The views from the kitchen/living room were just breathtaking. The room off of the living room was perfect to just sit and prop your feet up and watch the waves. My family and I think this is the best house we have ever rented. Everything was fresh and clean. They did a magnificient job remodeling the house. The decks that were added were just perfect to sit and hang out or just relax in the hot tub. The only thing we wished that it would've had was a dune top deck. But,other than that the house was awesome.People will not be disappointed renting this house. We will definetly rent the "Lovelady" again.Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!!
