Upon arrival, we were informed that the cable was out and we'd have to wait until Monday for it to be fixed. This also meant no internet connection or phone. Monday comes, no cable guy. Finally on Wednesday, it was "fixed". Granted, it may have been entirely out of Atlantic Realty's control and more a cable company reliability issue, but still shouldn't have taken 3 days to remedy. The power in the King bedroom blew out the first day, but then mysteriously came back on a couple days later, in the wee hours of the morning. The refrigerator did not work either, as it apparently had been adjusted prior to our arrive. -It takes 24hrs for it to adjust and work properly, so this meant that it was essentially useless until the next day (we had to put our perishables in the freezer or in a cooler overnight). Also, the kitchen could have been better stocked with pots and pans. I think it would be helpful if they added a few newer stainless steel (without the non-stick coating) pots and pans to the house. The stove is a bit confusing to use as well, as some of the burners don't get very hot, so we wound up only using the two that did (out of 4 burners). Aside from those issues, the house IS nice, comfortable, and roomier than we expected. The living room in particular is larger than it appears in the pictures. My kids loved the pool, bunk beds, and short walk to the beach, as did the adults, and our "adult" beds were very comfortable. I also appreciated that a portable crib was supplied as well, which was a nice surprise.

MY STAY AT THIS PROPERTY ALONG WITH SOME FRIENDS WAS GREAT. ITS LOCATION IS ONLY ABOUT 5-7 MINUTES FROM RESTAURANTS AND THE "MAIN DRAG" WITH A VERY SHORT QUICK WALK TO THE BEACH. WE STAYED LATE SEPTEMBER GOING INTO OCTOBER OF 2009 AND THE PRICE WE PAID WAS MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK. THE HOUSE WAS NICE AND ONLY PROBLEM EXPERIENCED WAS WITH THE HOT TUB. IT DID GO OUT ONE NIGHT BUT A QUICK PHONE CALL TO ATLANTIC REALTY AND IT WAS FIXED WITHIN 2 DAYS. ALSO, THE POOL IS KIND OF SMALL AND WASN'T THE DEPTH I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE; BUT IT WAS STILL BIG AND NICE ENOUGH TO ENJOY. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME STAYING A WEEK AT A RENTAL AND OVERALL I WAS VERY SATISFIED. IT WAS A VERY NICE FIRST RENTAL AND I WOULDN'T MIND STAYING THERE AGAIN.

We enjoyed our stay on the Outer Banks very much, thanks to the house we rented (Paradise Found). Really liked the pool. . .was nice to dip into after time spent on the beach. The kids even went swimming while it was raining one afternoon. The location was near enough to the beach access to be convenient. Was surprised at how quiet it actually was given that we were right on VA Dare Trail. The house was well-maintained and roomy. Comfortable living room and bedrooms. Kitchen was nice, but could have been a little better stocked with utensils. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this lovely home.
