This condo is under New Ownership for the 2010 Season with brand new renovations, tasteful decorations and furnishings. The Master Bedroom and Bathroom has been completely renovated with King-sized bed, flat screen cable TV/DVD combo, new flooring, furnishings and decorations. The Living area includes a Sleeper Sofa (queen size), entertainment unit with flat screen Cable TV/DVD Combo, a stereo, and a selection of DVD's, Books and Games. Built-in bunk beds and a hall bath will provide ample space for the entire family. The view from both the private balcony and the front deck provide breathtaking views of the ocean. This community is located just 150' from the private beach access; it provides an ocean front pool with poolside restrooms and dressing rooms, a playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, grilling area and coin operated laundry facilities. The Town of Duck is just a short walk or bike ride away for great dining, shopping and other activities! Bed Linens are provided with full week rentals. PETS AND SMOKING ARE NOT PERMITTED.

Just got back from Colony by the Sea Unit 311-B. The pictures on Atlantic Realty's website don't really show how cute the interior is. The great room is plenty roomy even though we spent little time inside. Even though the unit is set back a bit from the ocean and affords a fairly narrow ocean view, we were able to glimpse dolphins a couple of times from the back deck. There are also a couple of adirondack-style chairs on the walkway by the front door that afford a view of a different section of the ocean. That was a pleasant surprise. The unit is located on the top floor of the building. That is a mixed blessing as it gives much better views, but is not so appealing when hauling your bags up or down the stairs. We considered it a positive overall. Everything inside was clean and seemed new and we found few things lacking--the most noticeable being a hair dryer and salt and pepper shakers. Not a big deal as we could have easily packed our own had we known in advance. Finding a corkscrew and stoppers for wine bottles was a very nice and unexpected touch. The beach was easily accessible by the property's boardwalk and was not at all crowded right after Memorial Day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this unit to anyone not put off by the walk up to it.

Good service from Atlantic Realty...easy to work with...Rental was clean for the most part, although we found we had to move some small tables around and found items left behind from prior owners. The vacuum didn't work but we managed...All in all it was a nice place with a nice view and comfortable enough for all our family. The location was the best which is why we come back every year to the same place. We pay for location and the view and the close proximity for all our needs. We wish there was more crabbing and fishing in our area..no accessible pier in duck but we enjoyed biking, tennis, and the beach...It was a great vacation and look forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay at Colony By the Sea Unit 311-B, rented through Atlantic Realty. The unit's great room and kitchen was recently renovated. The bathrooms and bedroom was sufficient. Plenty of extra pillows. We enjoyed having 2 TVs and 2 DVD players, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day (one for the adults and one for the kiddo). The new pool is great, has a wonderful shallow-end with steps/seats, perfect for children learning to swim. Plenty of chairs at the pool, too. The beach was beautiful, not crowded, kites flying in the distance. If you have never visited Duck, you must! Great community. A beautiful little town that is nothing like the other over-franchised beaches nearby. You must visit Duck Deli, Sooey's, and Duck Donuts, and the antique shop at the Scarborough shops while there! Kudos also to Atlantic Realty for answering a multitude of questions, and assisting us with after-hours check-in/out. We look forward to returning to Duck and Colony by the Sea next year.

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have stayed at one of the condos at the Colony by the Sea. The condos are very clean and onvenient to the beach access. It was very cozy for the two of us and accommodated our needs perfectly. One thing that we wished it had was either an elevator or a way to transport the luggage other than carrying it up 3-4 flights of stairs. Other than the stairs, I would highly recommend staying at this location.
