We really lucked on on finding this property for our first trip to the OBX from Maryland. We didn't need anything huge, as were are a familiy of 4 traveling with 2 grandparents. The size was perfect. It is about 350 yards from the beach so make sure you have something to carry all your beach stuff in if you have little ones along. Extremely clean, airy and bright. There are a lot of steps inside and out so keep that in mind if you are traveling with someone with mobility issues. Within a 10 minute walk of "downtown" Duck. My only recommendations to the owners are as follows: 1) pony up for wi-fi access. Alot of people work on vacation, not ideal but a reality in this era. 2) get some xeriscaping done outside - get rid of the "grass" - a.k.a. a few weeds trapped in dirt - and drop rock gravel over everything. Apply a few coats of touch-up paint to the outside and you will make the curb appeal as great as the interior of the house (and probably could raise the rent as a result). 3) Owners - pay your bills on time (i.e., cable) - it's embarrasing to your realty company when the renter has to call and say that Charter Communications said the cable was disconnected to said residence. Fortunately, Atlantic Realty was on the ball with that and an a/c issue midweek. Great realty company - would recommend whole heartedly.

Thanks Atlantic Realty and Our New Port for another great week in Duck. Check in and check out went off in less than a minute and the staff was very friendly even though we came late and I am sure they were busy all day. If you have never stayed in Our New Port, but want a great rental house, stay here. The house is roomy and all up to date. Great Decks for watching the sunrise. It is a little further to the beach than some rentals we have had on that street but the house is worth the walk. The black berrries from the bush outside get on feet and shoes so be careful not to track them through the house. Definitely would stay here again next summer!!!
